Command Specific Problems / Questions

• I changed the pattern or scale of the hatch pattern but the hatch won't change.
  • Sometimes when changing a hatch pattern to a smaller scale factor or to a pattern with smaller lines in it the hatch will refuse to change and AutoCAD returns the message "Hatch spacing too dense, or dash size too small." When this happens we have found it is usually necessary to rehatch the area in smaller pieces. Draw a line or lines on a layer that won't be plotted across the area to be hatched dividing it in to smaller areas. Hatch each of these smaller areas separately. Draw more lines as needed until AutoCAD will allow the hatch with the smaller scale in all of the areas that need the hatch.

General Problems / Questions

• I type in the command name and another command is run  -or-  this command has the same name as a command that I would like to run and I can't get the other command to work now.

• When I click on the toolbar button, pull-down, or type in the command name I get "Unknown command"
