Breakdown of configuration options

"Overhead Door Above" Line Color

Commands affected:  C-OHEAD, O-OHEAD

Select the color for the lines that show the extents of the overhead door when in the up position. (how to select colors).

"Overhead Door Above" Line Linetype

Commands affected:  C-OHEAD, O-OHEAD

Select the linetype for the lines that show the extents of the overhead door when in the up position. Only the currently loaded linetypes will appear in the list. See the LTYPE Command Configuration for help with loading other linetype files or AutoCAD's help for "LINETYPE Command" for loading linetypes.

"Overhead Door Above" Line Lineweight

Commands affected:  C-OHEAD, O-OHEAD

Select the lineweight for the lines that show the extents of the overhead door when in the up position. If you are using release 14 or earlier the lineweight value will have no effect, but we encourage you to set it so you won't have to later when you upgrade.

Maximum width for Door Jambs

Commands affected:  C-BIFOLD, C-BIPASS, C-DDOOR, C-OHEAD, C-PATDOOR, C-SDOOR, C-SLIDER, O-DDOOR, O-OHEAD, O-PATDOOR, O-SDOOR, O-SLIDER

The width for the door jambs will be equal to the wall thickness up to this value. The jambs will not be drawn larger than this value.

Door Sills

Commands affected:  C-BIFOLD, C-BIPASS, C-DDOOR, C-OHEAD, C-PATDOOR, C-SDOOR, C-SLIDER, O-DDOOR, O-OHEAD, O-PATDOOR, O-SDOOR, O-SLIDER

Select whether you would like door sills drawn (Y = yes,  N = no). The sills are two lines that connect the outermost wall lines on each side of the door that represent a threshold or transition. The layer that the sill lines are drawn on is the layer assigned to the "All door sills" category in the Assign Layer Types to Commands portion of the APS-CONFIG command. If using "No layer control" the sill lines will be drawn on the current layer.

Door Headers

Commands affected:  C-BIFOLD, C-BIPASS, C-DDOOR, C-OHEAD, C-PATDOOR, C-SDOOR, C-SLIDER, O-DDOOR, O-OHEAD, O-PATDOOR, O-SDOOR, O-SLIDER

Select whether you would like window headers drawn (Y = yes,  N = no). The headers are two lines that connect the outermost wall lines on each side of the door and are designed to fill the door opening when in a reflected ceiling plan. The layer that the header lines are drawn on is the layer assigned to the "All door headers" category in the Assign Layer Types to Commands portion of the APS-CONFIG command. If using "No layer control" this feature is disabled.

Demo Feature

Commands affected:  C-BIFOLD, C-BIPASS, C-DDOOR, C-OHEAD, C-PATDOOR, C-SDOOR, C-SLIDER, O-DDOOR, O-OHEAD, O-PATDOOR, O-SDOOR, O-SLIDER

Select whether you would like to use the "Demo" feature. (Y = yes,  N = no) The "Demo" feature will break the walls and place the portion removed on the "Demo" layer if the wall is an existing wall. To determine if the wall was an existing wall the layer of the wall lines is compared to the list set below and if the layer matches one of the layers in the list it is "demo'ed". The layer the "demo'ed" wall lines are placed on is the layer assigned to the "Demolition when inserting doors" category in the Assign Layer Types to Commands portion of the APS-CONFIG command. If using "No layer control" this feature is disabled.

Layers to Treat as Existing When Inserting Doors

Commands affected:  C-BIFOLD, C-BIPASS, C-DDOOR, C-OHEAD, C-PATDOOR, C-SDOOR, C-SLIDER, O-DDOOR, O-OHEAD, O-PATDOOR, O-SDOOR, O-SLIDER

Enter a layer name or wildcard in each box for layers to treat as existing when inserting doors. When a door is inserted if the layer name of the walls being broken matches the names or wildcards entered above the portion of the wall cut out for the door will be changed to the "Demo" layer.

The layer the "demo'ed" wall lines are placed on is the layer assigned to the "Demolition when inserting doors" category in the Assign Layer Types to Commands portion of the APS-CONFIG command. If using "No layer control" this feature is disabled.

Minimum Framing Requirements

Commands affected:  C-BIFOLD, C-BIPASS, C-DDOOR, C-OHEAD, C-PATDOOR, C-SDOOR, C-SLIDER, O-DDOOR, O-OHEAD, O-PATDOOR, O-SDOOR, O-SLIDER

For each of the door types listed above you may force an amount of wall on each side of a door for framing or trim requirements. Enter the distance for each door type in the box provided. To disable this feature enter zero for the distance.
