Breakdown of configuration optionsResidential Window OptionsCommand affected: DWELEV
Enter the head height for residential windows. This is the distance that the top of the window will be placed above the finished floor line selected in the DWELEV command. If you do not use this method of insertion this value has no effect. Enter the frame thickness. Enter the glazing line thickness (the glazing line is shown color 25 in the window image shown above) If drawing trim around the window enter the width of the trim. Check this box if you would like trim drawn around the window. Back to top

Select the color and lineweight for the inside frame lines of the window (how to select colors). If you are using release 14 or earlier the lineweight value will have no effect, but we encourage you to set it so you won't have to later when you upgrade. Sliding Glass Door DimensionsCommand affected: DWELEV
Enter the thickness for the frame. Enter the distance from the edge of the door to the glass on the top and sides. Enter the distance from the bottom edge of the door to the glass. Finally enter the glazing line thickness (similar to the glazing line for windows) Back to top
Sliding Glass Door TrimCommand affected: DWELEV
Check the top box if you would like to draw trim around the sliding glass door. If you are drawing trim enter the thicknesses you would like the trim drawn. Since the siding and trim usually extend below the finished floor you may specify a distance that the trim will extend below the bottom of the door. Enter the distance the trim should extend below the bottom of the door. Enter zero if you don't want the trim to extend below the door. Back to top
Default Header Height for Commercial WindowsCommand affected: DWELEV
Enter the header height for commercial windows. This is the distance that the top of the window will be placed above the finished floor line selected in the DWELEV command. If you do not use this method of insertion this value has no effect. Back to top
