Breakdown of configuration options

Single or Double Line Trusses

Command affected:  HIPSET

Check whether you would like the trusses drawn single or double line.

Truss Spacing

Command affected:  HIPSET

Enter the "on-center" distance you would like between each truss drawn.

If you selected above to draw double line trusses enter the distance you would like between truss lines.

Standard Truss Line Properties

Command affected:  HIPSET

Select the linetype, color, and lineweight for the lines that make up the standard trusses (how to select colors). The linetypes listed are from the linetype files specified in the LType Cmd section of this configuration utility. If you are using release 14 or earlier the lineweight value will have no effect, but we encourage you to set it so you won't have to later when you upgrade.

Girder (Carrier) Truss Line Properties

Command affected:  HIPSET

Select the linetype, color, and lineweight for the lines that make up the girder truss (how to select colors). The linetypes listed are from the linetype files specified in the LType Cmd section of this configuration utility. If you are using release 14 or earlier the lineweight value will have no effect, but we encourage you to set it so you won't have to later when you upgrade.

Truss Extensions

Command affected:  HIPSET

Check this box if you would like the truss "tails" drawn. This is the portion of the truss that extends past the bearing point (beam, wall, etc) out to the fascia line.

Truss Extensions Same Line as Truss

Command affected:  HIPSET

Check this box if you would like the truss extensions to be drawn with the same line as the truss. If unchecked the truss extensions will be drawn with a separate line with the properties set below.
