Selecting the "Define/Edit layers..." button brings up the
following dialog:

The
button keeps changes made and closes the dialog. The
button discards changes made and closes the dialog. The
button
brings you to this web page for help during the command (without canceling). This
is a list of all the APS commands, command types, and situations that require a
layer and the name of the layer currently assigned to it. Select the line of the
command/command type/situation and the layer information dialog will appear:

Enter or edit
the layer name
Select the
linetype for the layer if created
Select the
color for the layer if created (How
to select colors)
Select the
lineweight for the layer if created
The
button keeps changes made and closes the dialog.
The
button discards changes made and closes the dialog. The

brings you to this web page for help during the command (without canceling).
When the layer information is correct press "OK" and the dialog will close
and update the list of layer assignments.
