Command:
Command: AT
Command: ACTILEThe following dialog will appear:
The
button will take you to the main selection screen of the detailer command.
The
button brings you to this web page for help during the command (without canceling)
Decide whether you would like the "T" track drawn and select the appropriate button.
Select start point for acoustical tile:
Select the point at which you would like the tile to start. The endpoint and intersection snaps are added to your running object snaps if not already being used. (In this example we used the "Nearest" object snap, you may find this start point any way that suits you best) This is the point at which the tile itself starts. The end "L" track and intermediate "T" track (if track is selected) will actually be drawn slightly below this point (1/16"). It is assumed that the ceiling needs to be level so orthomode is turned on.
Select end point or [D]ist/[L]ength/direction dialog:
Select the end point or type "D" or "L" to use the Distance/Length & direction dialog. This time the endpoint, intersection and perpendicular object snaps are added to your running snaps if they are not being used already.
Select side for thickness:
Pick a point on the side of the ceiling tile that is above the "ceiling line" selected by the first two points. (This "ceiling line" is shown as a dashed white line for reference)
--The tile (and track if selected) is drawn--
If you opted for track, the tile must be longer than 24" for the "T" track and support wire to be drawn. The command always draws the "T" track at 24" o.c. Should the track need to be 48" or any other distance simply stretch the tile and track to the desired distance. You will notice in our example above, the support wire is not drawn all the way up to the decking. The support wire is only drawn a small distance above the tile, but can be stretched or extended up to the decking.
DETAILER A dialog for selecting one of the many materials that can be drawn.
