When you select a cell from the "Customize" menu the following dialog
appears:

Select "Architectural Symbols" and press "OK". The dialog below appears.
Click on an area of this dialog to go to the description for that area:

The
button keeps changes made and closes the dialog. The
button discards changes made and closes the dialog. The
button
brings you to this web page for help during the command (without canceling).
Architectural
Symbol Type

Select from the drop-down list which type of architectural symbol you would like
to insert in this cell. The choices are: Building section cut, Wall section cut,
Detail section cut, Circular callout, Oval callout, Rectangular callout, Door
Symbol, Window symbol, and Room name/number symbol. Not all of the symbol types
need the same information so some of the settings below will be grayed out
depending on which symbol type you choose.
Draw
Callout Bubble at Each End


Check this box if you would like your Building, Wall, or Detail section cuts
to have callout bubbles/arrows at each end.
Commands affected: Building
Section Cut, Wall Section Cut,
Detail Section Cut


If you would like the section cut bubbles to rotate with the direction of the
cut line (image above right) check this box. If you would like the bubble to
always be inserted at 0° (image above left) leave the box unchecked.
Main File to Insert

This is the main file to be inserted. For the door, window, and room name/number
symbols this is the block that will be inserted. For all of the other symbol
types it is the file for the callout "bubble" (
).
Press the "Browse..." button to locate the drawing that you would like
to insert.
Arrow Point File

This is the file for the point of the directional arrow (
).
Press the "Browse..." button to locate the block drawing that you would like to
insert. This is an optional file, leave this box blank if you do not want to
insert an arrow point file.
Arrow Wing File

This is the file for the point of the directional arrow "wings"(
).
Press the "Browse..." button to locate the block drawing that you would like to
insert. This is an optional file, leave this box blank if you do not want to
insert an arrow "wing" file.
Foot File

If you don't have callout bubbles on each end of your section cut you may
have a "foot" file inserted at the "other" end.

This is the file for the foot.
Press the "Browse..." button to locate the block drawing that you would like to
insert. This is an optional file, leave this box blank if you do not want to
insert a foot file.
Symbol Color

If you would like the symbol to be inserted with a color other than "ByLayer"
select the color for the symbol. (How
to select colors)
Symbol Lineweight

If you would like the symbol to be inserted with a lineweight other than "ByLayer"
select the lineweight for the symbol. If you are using release 14 or earlier the
lineweight value will have no effect now, but we encourage you to set it so you
won't have to later when you upgrade.
Layer
Type for Architectural Symbols

Select the
layer type that the block library will use to determine the layer on which the symbol
will be inserted. The method used to assign layer names to layer types
depends on which layer control method you use. See
Choosing a Layer Control Method
or Assigning Layers When Using Direct Layer Assignment or
Assigning Layers When Using
Layer Schemes.
Section Callout
Attributes

Enter the number of attributes in your section callout bubble block that was
entered in the "Main File to Insert" section
above. The default section callout blocks have three attributes but may have any
number up to four. If you are unsure how many attributes a block
has, insert the block using AutoCAD's INSERT command and press <Enter> for all
of the prompts. Then use the TXTEDT command
and select the block.

The TXTEDT command will show at the top how
many attributes are in the block.
Enter a prompt and default value for each of the attributes. The "Prompt" is the
text that will "ask" for the attribute value if you checked the
box in the Arch.
Symbols section of the
APS-CONFIG command. The "Default Value" is the default value that will be
entered in the box next to the "Prompt" above and also will be automatically
entered for the attribute in the block if you don't check the above box..
