Command: BRICK

The following dialog will appear:

The button will take you to the main selection screen of the detailer command.

The button brings you to this web page for help during the command (without canceling)

First select the size of brick you would like on the left and then the view you would like to insert from the buttons on the right.

[Plan view]

Select corner point of the brick or <Enter> to center:

Select the corner point or press <Enter> or <Space> to center the brick.

[corner point option]

Selected the corner point (from above prompt). The endpoint and intersection snaps are added to your running object snaps if not already being used.

Enter direction along long side of brick or [A]ng[L]e/[D]irection dialog:

Ortho is turned on for this point. (Turn it off with <F8> or to draw other angles.) Select a point, enter an angle, or press "A", "L", or "D" and use the AngLe/Direction dialog. Note: When drawing a line, the length of the line does not affect the length of the brick.

Side for brick thickness:

Select the side that the brick should reside. The white dashed line that appears is to show the direction that the brick is going to be drawn. This is especially helpful in selecting a side when you specify an angle without other objects around for reference.

-the brick is drawn-

[End - corner point option]

[center option]

The following dialog appears:

Select the orientation that you would like. (Don't worry, your brick won't look like the pictures shown. This is a generic dialog.)

Enter center point for brick:

Select the center point for the brick. The midpoint snap is added to your running object snaps if it is not already being used.

Enter second point along centerline of brick or [A]ng[L]e/[D]irection dialog:

Ortho is turned on for this point. (Turn it off with <F8> or to draw other angles.) Select a point, enter an angle, or press "A", "L", or "D" and use the AngLe/Direction dialog. Note: When drawing a line, the length of the line does not affect the length of the brick.

--the brick is drawn--

[End - center option]

[End - Plan view]

[Section view]

Enter back bottom corner point of the brick:

Select this point. The endpoint and intersection snaps are added to your running object snaps if not already being used.

Ortho is turned on for this point. (Turn it off with <F8> or to draw other angles.) Select a point, enter an angle, or press "A", "L", or "D" and use the AngLe/Direction dialog

Note: When drawing a line to show direction like above, the length of the line does not affect the width of the brick.
