This command changes the layer of objects in the drawing. The layer to change the objects to can be selected in a variety of ways.

Note: the layer names shown in both the screen menu and the pull down are abbreviations of the actual layer name. These abbreviations as well as the full layer name are defined in a layer scheme and can be edited using the SCHEMEDIT command. To configure how layers are displayed on your screen when using layer schemes see the Layer scheme control settings portion of the Layer Control section of the APS Configuration Utility. [Pick on an object] Note: if the object you select is part of a block or an XREF the layer of the block or XREF will be selected even if the object selected resides on another layer inside the block/XREF.
