This command inserts a circuit symbol. The scale of the symbol is automatically adjusted for the scale of the drawing. Once the circuit symbol has been inserted the "fins" can be erased and shortened as needed. See "Using the circuit symbol" below.

The layer type for this command can be changed in the Assigning Layer Types to Commands portion of the Layer Control section of the APS-CONFIG command.

Command: CIRCUIT
Insertion point:
Select the insertion point for the circuit symbol. The nearest object snap is added to the snaps currently running if isn't already one being used.
Rotation angle (along line, arc etc.):
Select a point to show the command roughly the rotation angle of the line or arc at the insertion point.

The circuit symbol is made up of four individual lines. Each of these lines is divided into a short line and extensions as shown below. (The short lines are shown in red and the extensions are shown in green.) Each of these "line sets" can also be copied should you need more than four lines.

The extensions on each end of the short lines are a block and will erase together so you only need to select one of the extensions when erasing to make a short line. We will demonstrate with an example. In this example we need to end up with only 3 lines two of which are short.

We will start by using the erase command and using a crossing window we will select both the short line and the extensions as shown.

Next we will select just the extensions of two of the lines as shown above.

Press <Enter> or <Space> and the circuit symbol looks like we need it to.
