DIMENSION ANGULAR

Equivalent AutoCAD command:  DIMANGULAR

Added functionality,  features, or special conditions:

• If you are using one of the APS layer control methods this command will always place the dimension on the correct layer.
• This command will always use the default distance. (will not prompt for a distance value)

User configurable options: 

• Arrowhead for DANGULAR, DDIAM & DRADIUS commands. See the Dimension Cmds section of the APS Configuration Utility.

Layers:

• If you are using "No Layer Control" the dimension will be drawn on whatever layer is current. See the Layer Control section of the APS Configuration Utility.

• The default layer type for the dimension is "Dimensions".
  • If you are using "Direct Layer Assignment" the layer name is assigned to this layer type in the Layer assignments portion of the Layer Control section of the APS-CONFIG command.
  • If you are using "Layer Schemes" the layer name is assigned to this layer type in the Assigning Layer Names to Layer Types portion of the SCHEMEDIT command.

  The layer type for this command can be changed in the Assigning Layer Types to Commands portion of the Layer Control section of the APS-CONFIG command.

SAMPLE DANGULAR COMMAND SYNTAX:

Select arc, circle, line, or <specify vertex>:

Select an arc, circle, line or press the <Enter> or <Space> key.

Specify second angle endpoint:

Enter the second angle endpoint. The first point for the angle is where you selected the circle.

Select second line:

Select the second line.

[Pressed <Enter> or <Space> to specify vertex]

Specify angle vertex:

Select the angle vertex. (The center point of the arc of the dimension)

Specify first angle endpoint:

Pick the first angle endpoint. This angle will "rubber band" from the vertex.

Specify second angle endpoint:

Pick the second angle endpoint. This will also "rubber band" from the vertex.

[end - Pressed <Enter> or <Space> to specify vertex]

 

Specify dimension arc line location or [Mtext/Text/Angle]:

Type in "A" if you want specify a text angle, otherwise select a point for the dimension arc line.

Note: the "Mtext" and "Text" options have been disabled. If you need to change the text of the dimension you will have to do so after the dimension has been created.

Enter text location (or press ENTER):

Specify the location for the text or press <Enter> to use the default location.
