DIMENSION CONTINUE

Equivalent AutoCAD command:  DIMCONTINUE

Added functionality,  features, or special conditions:

• If you are using one of the APS layer control methods this command will always place the dimension on the correct layer.
• This command will always use the default distance. (will not prompt for a distance value)

User configurable options: none

Layers:

• If you are using "No Layer Control" the dimension will be drawn on whatever layer is current. See the Layer Control section of the APS Configuration Utility.

• The default layer type for the dimension is "Dimensions".
  • If you are using "Direct Layer Assignment" the layer name is assigned to this layer type in the Layer assignments portion of the Layer Control section of the APS-CONFIG command.
  • If you are using "Layer Schemes" the layer name is assigned to this layer type in the Assigning Layer Names to Layer Types portion of the SCHEMEDIT command.

  The layer type for this command can be changed in the Assigning Layer Types to Commands portion of the Layer Control section of the APS-CONFIG command.

Specify extension line origin or <select dimension to continue>:

Press <Enter> or <Space> to select the dimension to continue (start from) or select the second point of your new dimension that will continue from the second point of the last dimension drawn. (the first point of this new dimension is the second point from the last dimension drawn).

[Pressed <Enter> or <Space> to select object]

Select continued dimension:

Select a dimension to continue with (start from). Select the dimension on the side that you would like the new dimension to start from.

Specify a second extension line origin or [Select] <Select>:

Specify the second point for your new dimension.
