Component of the Detailer command that draws dimensional lumber of various sizes and types in both cross and long section/elevation.
User configurable options:
See Dim Lumber in the Section/Detail Cmds section of the APS-CONFIG command.
Layers:
The layer types for this command can be changed in the Assigning Layer Types to Commands portion of the Layer Control section of the APS-CONFIG command.

Command:
Command: DIMLUMBThe following dialog appears:
Select a size and type from one of the preset buttons.
Note: All of the lumber will be drawn actual size so a 2x4 will measure 1 1/2"x3 1/2".
The
button will take you to the main selection screen of the detailer command.

button brings you to this web page for help during the command (without canceling)
The
button brings up the following dialog:
Choose the lumber type and enter the size that you would like the lumber to be drawn. Nominal sizes do not apply here, the lumber will be drawn the size that you enter.

Select corner point of the lumber or <Enter> to center:
Select the corner point or press <Enter> or <Space> to center the lumber.

Selected the corner point (from above prompt). The endpoint and intersection snaps are added to your running object snaps if not already being used.
Enter direction along long side of lumber or [A]ng[L]e/[D]irection dialog:
Ortho is turned on for this point. (Turn it off with <F8> or
to draw other angles.) Select a point, enter an angle, or press "A", "L", or "D" and use the AngLe/Direction dialog. Note: When drawing a line, the length of the line does not affect the length of the lumber.
Side for lumber thickness:
Select the side that the lumber should reside. The white dashed line that appears is to show the direction that the lumber is going to be drawn. This is especially helpful in selecting a side when you specify an angle without other objects around for reference.

Select the orientation that you would like.
Enter center point for brick:
Select the center point for the lumber. The midpoint snap is added to your running object snaps if it is not already being used.
Enter second point along centerline of lumber or [A]ng[L]e/[D]irection dialog:
