This command helps with the input of distances and numbers by allowing them to be entered using a dialog. This command was written for all the "mousers" out there. It replaces the number pad that used to be on the tablet. When you are prompted for a distance or number value you may use this command to help enter that value for you.

To demonstrate how this command works we will use it with the AutoCAD "OFFSET" command.
Command: OFFSET
Specify offset distance or [Through] <Through>:
Specify offset distance or [Through] <Through>: (DISTNUMB)The following dialog appears:
Using the buttons provided enter the values needed for the distance or number desired. The "Through" button is always disabled unless called from the APS-OFFSET (the APS version of OFFSET) or the OF2LAYR commands.
If you are entering a value with a fraction there is no need to press the OK button, the fraction button acts as the OK button and the value will be passed to the active command.
Non fractional values need the OK button pressed. To make this quicker, the OK button is kept selected after each number button is pressed so that pressing <Space> or <Enter> keys will "press" the OK button and pass the distance value to the active command.
This dialog is used within many of the APS commands. For example, when the APS-OFFSET command prompts for an offset distance one of the options is to enter a "D" or "L" (Distance or Length) which would bring up this dialog.

To use the above buttons, first enter a number from the number pad and then add the fraction value.
(pressing the
button and then the
button
would result in 5/32)
These fraction buttons add themselves to the end of the number and cannot predict how many digits are in the numerator (number on top) of the fraction. Therefore you will need to enter the dash prior to the numerator of the fraction.

(ANGLES) A dialog to help with entering angles.
(RELATIVE) A dialog to help with entering a point relative to a base point.
