EXTERNAL INSULATION AND FINISH SYSTEM

Component of the Detailer command that draws EIFS. 

User configurable options: 

• Color and lineweight for insulation board outline
• Color and lineweight for "stucco finish" line
• Scale factor above which no hatch or fills will be drawn
• Hatch pattern, scale, and rotation
• Whether hatch pattern scale should adjust w/ drawing scale
• Color and lineweight for hatch pattern

See EIFS in the Section/Detail Cmds section of the APS Configuration Utility. 

Layers:

• If you are using "No Layer Control" the EIFS outline and hatching will be drawn on whatever layer is current. See the Layer Control section of the APS Configuration Utility.

• The default layer type for the outline of the EIFS is "Finish Materials" and the default layer type for the hatching is "Finish Material fills". 
  • If you are using "Direct Layer Assignment" the layer names are assigned to these layer types in the Layer assignments portion of the Layer Control section of the APS-CONFIG command.
  • If you are using "Layer Schemes" the layer names are assigned to these layer types in the Assigning Layer Names to Layer Types portion of the SCHEMEDIT command.

  The layer types for this command can be changed in the Assigning Layer Types to Commands portion of the Layer Control section of the APS-CONFIG command.

The following dialog will appear:

The button will take you to the main selection screen of the detailer command.

The button brings you to this web page for help during the command (without canceling)

If the thickness shown in the box is what you want press <Enter>, <Space> or the "OK" button, if not, press one of the preset thickness buttons or enter a thickness in the box and press "OK".

Select start point for EIFS:

Select the start point. The endpoint and intersection object snaps are added to your running snaps if they are not being used already.

 

Select end point or [D]ist/[L]ength/direction dialog:

Select the end point for the EIFS or type "D" or "L" to enter the point relative to the first point with the Distance/Length & direction dialog. This time the endpoint, intersection and perpendicular object snaps are added to your running snaps if they are not being used already.

 

Select side for thickness:

Select the side.
