FRESH AIR VENT SYMBOL

This command inserts a fresh air vent symbol. It is a "wall block" so you insert this block by selecting a point on a wall or other object and then selecting a side for the symbol.

User configurable options:

Layers:

If you are using "No Layer Control" the vent is inserted on whatever layer is current. See the Layer Control section of the APS Configuration Utility.

The default layer type for this symbol is "Vents".
- If you are using "Direct Layer Assignment" the layer name is assigned to this layer type in the Layer assignments portion of the Layer Control section of the APS-CONFIG command.
- If you are using "Layer Schemes" the layer name is assigned to this layer type in the Assigning Layer Names to Layer Types portion of the SCHEMEDIT command.
The layer type for this command can be changed in the Assigning Layer Types to Commands portion of the Layer Control section of the APS-CONFIG command.

SAMPLE FAVENT COMMAND SYNTAX:

[if the object selected is a line or polyline]

Select wall line:

Select a wall line (or any object) at the point that you would like to insert the symbol.

Select side of wall for symbol:

Select a point on the side of the line for the symbol. Because the type of object selected was a line, polyline, or lwpolyline the command can determine the correct perpendicular angle to insert the block. There is no need to "show" or enter the exact angle the symbol should be inserted.

Select wall line:

Select a wall line (or any object) at the point that you would like to insert the symbol. Since the entity type is NOT a line, polyline, or lwpolyline this command cannot figure out the rotation angle for you automatically. You will have to show it the insertion angle.

Specify insertion angle or use the [A]ng[L]e/[D]irection dialog:

Ortho is turned on for this point. (Turn it off with <F8> or to draw other angles.) Select a point, enter an angle, or press "A", "L", or "D" and use the AngLe/Direction dialog.
