GYPSUM WALL BOARD

Component of the Detailer command that draws gypsum wall board. 

User configurable options: 

• Color and lineweight for gypbd outline
• Color and lineweight for "paper lines"
• Scale factor above which no hatch or fills will be drawn
• Hatch pattern, scale, and rotation
• Whether hatch pattern scale should adjust w/ drawing scale
• Color and lineweight for hatch pattern

Layers:

• If you are using "No Layer Control" the GWB outline and hatching will be drawn on whatever layer is current. See the Layer Control section of the APS Configuration Utility.

• The default layer type for the outline of the GWB is "Finish Materials" and the default layer type for the hatching is "Finish Material fills". 
  • If you are using "Direct Layer Assignment" the layer names are assigned to these layer types in the Layer assignments portion of the Layer Control section of the APS-CONFIG command.
  • If you are using "Layer Schemes" the layer names are assigned to these layer types in the Assigning Layer Names to Layer Types portion of the SCHEMEDIT command.

  The layer types for this command can be changed in the Assigning Layer Types to Commands portion of the Layer Control section of the APS-CONFIG command.

SAMPLE GYPBD COMMAND SYNTAX:

The following dialog will appear:

The button will bring up a dialog that will allow you to enter a size other than the those on the preset buttons. 

The button will take you to the main selection screen of the detailer command.

The button brings you to this web page for help during the command (without canceling)

Select the GWB size that you would like.

 

Select start point for gypsum wall board:

Select the start point. The endpoint and intersection object snaps are added to your running snaps if they are not being used already.

 

Select end point or [D]ist/[L]ength/direction dialog:

Select the end point for the GWB or type "D" or "L" to enter the point relative to the first point with the Distance/Length & direction dialog. This time the endpoint, intersection and perpendicular object snaps are added to your running snaps if they are not being used already.

 

Select side for thickness:

Select the side for the GWB. The white dashed line that appears is to show the direction that the GWB is going to be drawn. This is especially helpful in selecting a side when you specified a distance & angle without other objects around for reference.
