Component of the Detailer command that draws engineered wood "I" joists of various sizes in cross section.
User configurable options:
See Wd I Joists in the Section/Detail Cmds section of the APS-CONFIG command.
Layers:
The layer type for this command can be changed in the Assigning Layer Types to Commands portion of the Layer Control section of the APS-CONFIG command.

Command:
Command: IJOISTThe following dialog appears:
The
button will take you to the main selection screen of the detailer command.
The
button brings you to this web page for help during the command (without canceling)
Check the size (height) you would like and then select the joist type or enter a custom size in the boxes to the right and press "Draw Custom Size".
Select corner point of the "I" joist or <Enter> to center:
Select the corner point or press <Enter> or <Space> to center the joist.

Selected the corner point (from above prompt). The endpoint and intersection snaps are added to your running object snaps if not already being used.
Enter direction along long side of "I" joist or [A]ng[L]e/[D]irection dialog:
Ortho is turned on for this point. (Turn it off with <F8> or
to draw other angles.) Select a point, enter an angle, or press "A", "L", or "D" and use the AngLe/Direction dialog. Note: When drawing a line, the length of the line does not affect the size of the joist.
Side for "I" joist thickness:
Select the side that the joist should reside. The white dashed line that appears is to show the direction that the long side of the joist is going to be drawn. This is especially helpful in selecting a side when you specify an angle without other objects around for reference.

Enter center point for "I" joist:
Select the center point for the joist. The midpoint snap is added to your running object snaps if it is not already being used.
Enter second point along centerline of "I" joist or [A]ng[L]e/[D]irection dialog:
