The PLOTPREP command may be configured to update a plot log file whenever it is run. The plot log file is a tab delimited ASCII file that may be imported in to your spreadsheet program. The file lists the following information for the drawing plotted:
All of the information except whether billable is collected automatically (see below for how the billable information is collected).

Assuming that the configuration in the Plot Prep Config portion of the General section of the APS Configuration Utility has been set to do a plot log, when PLOTPREP is run prior to plotting you will see the following dialog:
If this plot should be billed to the client press the "Yes" button. If it should not be billed to the client then press "No".
