POLYLINE WIDTH

In release 2002 this command changes lines, arcs, and polylines in to a polylines of a specified width. In all released prior it changes a single line, arc, or polyline in to a polyline of a specified thickness and then allows you to join it with other lines, arcs and polylines.

The following dialog appears:

If the value shown in the box at the top is the value you would like to use press <Enter>, <Space>, or the button. If it is not the value you need then either type in a new value or use the buttons to enter a value for you. For more on how to use this dialog see the Distance/Length dialog.

Select lines, polylines, and/or arcs to change the thickness of:
Select objects:

Select the lines, polylines, and/or arcs that need their thickness changed.

 

Select objects:

Once you have selected all the objects you need press <Enter> or <Space> to stop the selection.

 

--the lines, polylines, and arcs selected are all converted to polylines of the specified thickness--

[Releases 2000i and prior]

Select line, polyline, or arc:

Select the first line, polyline, or arc segment.

 

Select lines, polylines, and/or arcs to join.
Select objects:

Select lines, polylines and/or arcs.

 

Select objects:

Select as many lines, polylines and/or arcs as you like. When finished selecting press <Enter> or <Space>.

 

--the lines, polylines, and/or arcs are joined with the first object chosen to form a single polyline--

The new polyline inherits the layer, linetype, color, and lineweight of the first line/polyline/arc chosen. Polyline widths will be inherited along joined lines and arcs until another polyline is encountered, then the widths are no longer inherited.
