LAYER SCHEME EDITOR

This command creates & modifies layer schemes for the APS-2008 layer control system. This command is only necessary if you have configured your system to use layer schemes. See the Layer Control section of the APS-CONFIG command.

SAMPLE SCHEMEDIT COMMAND SYNTAX:

Command:
Command: SCHEMEDIT

Select whether you would like to edit an existing layer scheme or create a new blank layer scheme.

 

If you chose to edit an existing layer scheme you will be prompted to select the layer scheme to edit. When selected you will see the dialog below.

If you chose to create a new layer scheme you will also see the dialog below only the list of schemes will be blank.

The following actions can be performed on the layer schemes shown in the list:

EDIT Scheme
ADD Scheme
COPY Scheme
COPY From File
DELETE Scheme
Move UP
Move DOWN

Select an action above for more information.

Saves your changes and closes the dialog.

Saves your changes to another location and/or filename and then closes.

Discards any changes and closes.

Brings you to this web page for help during the command (without canceling).

 

[ADD Scheme]

When the "ADD Scheme" button is pressed a new blank layer scheme shows up at the bottom of the list as shown above. Now you may double click on the new scheme or select it and press "EDIT Scheme" to edit it. See Editing a layer scheme.

 

[COPY Scheme]

Select the layer scheme that you want to copy and press the "COPY Scheme" button.

 

This will make a copy of the layer scheme chosen at the bottom of the list. Now you may double click on the new scheme or select it and press "EDIT Scheme" to edit it. See Editing a layer scheme.

 

[COPY From File]

To copy a layer scheme from another layer scheme file press the "COPY From File" button. The following dialog will appear:

Select the layer scheme file that contains the scheme that you would like to add and the following dialog appears:

The layer schemes from the layer scheme file selected are listed. Select the layer scheme that you want to add to the current layer scheme file. (for this example we are selecting the "Building Sections" layer scheme as shown above)

The layer scheme chosen is added to the bottom of the list of layer schemes.

 

[DELETE Scheme]

To delete a layer scheme, select the scheme and press "DELETE Scheme". The following dialog will appear:

You will be asked to confirm whether or not you want to delete the scheme. If you are sure you want to delete it press OK.

The scheme is deleted from the list.

 

[Move UP]

To move a scheme up in the list select the scheme and press "Move UP". The scheme will move up one space. Press the "Move UP" button again and it will move up another space. The scheme you selected will stay selected so that you may continue to move it (up or down) without having to select it again.  

 

[Move DOWN]

To move a scheme down in the list select the scheme and press "Move DOWN". The scheme will move down one space. Press the "Move DOWN" button again and it will move down another space. The scheme you selected will stay selected so that you may continue to move it (up or down) without having to select it again.
