CHANGE TEXT TO "SENTENCE" CASE

This command changes all selected text (dtext & mtext) to "sentence" case. "Sentence" case is when the first character of each sentence is capitalized and the rest of the characters are lower case.

How characters to capitalize are determined:  The command searches for  periods (.), exclamation points (!), and question marks (?); when they are found the next alphanumeric character is capitalized in the text. When using DTEXT, the lines of text are sorted from the highest insertion point Y value to lowest, so that if a sentence ends at the end of one line the first character of the next line will be capitalized.

User configurable options: none

Known limitations:

  • This command only capitalizes the first character after a period (.), exclamation point (!), or a question mark (?). Any other characters that need to be capitalized must be changed afterwards using a text editor like TXTEDT.
  • Submit a limitation not listed.

Alternate uses:

  • None reported. If you have an alternate use for this command submit it here.
