TONGUE & GROOVE WOOD DECKING

Component of the Detailer command that draws various sizes of T&G decking of any length in section. 

User configurable options: 

• Color and lineweight for deck outline & joint lines
• Scale factor above which no hatch or fills will be drawn
• Hatch pattern and scale to use for fill
• Whether hatch pattern scale should adjust w/ drawing scale
• Color and lineweight for hatch pattern

Layers:

• If you are using "No Layer Control" the plywood outline and fills will be drawn on whatever layer is current. See the Layer Control section of the APS Configuration Utility.

• The default layer type for the outline of the decking is "Wood (framing/struct)", the default layer type for the joint lines is "Wood (framing/struct)", and the default layer type for the hatching is "Wood (framing/struct) fills". 
  • If you are using "Direct Layer Assignment" the layer names are assigned to these layer types in the Layer assignments portion of the Layer Control section of the APS-CONFIG command.
  • If you are using "Layer Schemes" the layer names are assigned to these layer types in the Assigning Layer Names to Layer Types portion of the SCHEMEDIT command.

  The layer types for this command can be changed in the Assigning Layer Types to Commands portion of the Layer Control section of the APS-CONFIG command.

SAMPLE TGDECK COMMAND SYNTAX:

Command:

The following dialog will appear:

The button will take you to the main selection screen of the detailer command.

The button brings you to this web page for help during the command (without canceling)

The last thickness button chosen will be highlighted (w/ dashed line as shown on the 1x4 button above). If this is the size board you would like to draw press <Enter> or <Space>. Otherwise select the button with the size desired.

 

Select start point for T&G decking:

Select the start point. The endpoint and intersection object snaps are added to your running snaps if they are not being used already.

 

Select end point or [D]ist/[L]ength/direction dialog:

Select the end point for the decking or type "D" or "L" to enter the point relative to the first point with the Distance/Length & direction dialog. This time the endpoint, intersection and perpendicular object snaps are added to your running snaps if they are not being used already.

 

Select side for thickness:

Select the side.
