TUB

This command draws a tub either from a wall corner or centered between two walls.

User configurable options: 

• Whether to insert a note showing size of tub
• Whether to show second line of text and text value
• The text style and size used for the note is the same as for "Note and leader text" - see the Text-Leaders section of the APS Configuration Utility.
• Color, linetype, & lineweight for tub lines
• Whether to draw a shower rod/tub enclosure line
• Color, linetype, & lineweight for shower rod/tub enclosure line

Layers:

• If you are using "No Layer Control" the tub, rod/enclosure, and notation will be inserted on whatever layer is current. See the Layer Control section of the APS Configuration Utility.

• The default layer type for the tub and rod/enclosure is "Plumbing Fixtures" and the default layer type for the notation is "Notes & Leaders".
  • If you are using "Direct Layer Assignment" the layer name is assigned to this layer type in the Layer assignments portion of the Layer Control section of the APS-CONFIG command.
  • If you are using "Layer Schemes" the layer name is assigned to this layer type in the Assigning Layer Names to Layer Types portion of the SCHEMEDIT command.

  The layer type for this command can be changed in the Assigning Layer Types to Commands portion of the Layer Control section of the APS-CONFIG command.  

Known limitations:

• The tub width is limited to 30", 32", 34", and 36". Once drawn however, they can be stretched.

• Submit a limitation not listed.

SAMPLE TUB COMMAND SYNTAX:

The following dialog appears:

Select the insertion method desired

[corner option] The following dialog appears: There are two tub lengths available, 60" and 66". Select the width button for the length of tub desired.   Select corner to offset from: Select the corner point. The endpoint and intersection snaps are added to your running object snaps if not already being used.   Select wall line behind where long side of tub will go: Select a point on the wall line behind where the long side of the tub will go.   Select point on side of wall for tub: Select the side of the wall for the tub.   --the tub, rod/enclosure (if any) is drawn and the notation is inserted-- [End - corner option]

[center option] The following dialog appears: Unlike the corner option this option will make the tub as long as the back wall selected below. The only information needed is the tub width. Select the button for the width desired.    Select back wall of tub or <Enter>/<Space> to select the two back corner points for the tub: If the wall behind the tub is a continuous line (as shown above) you may just select the line. If the wall is not continuous or has a window in it etc. press <Enter> or <Space> and you will be prompted to select the two back corner points for the tub.   Select point on side of wall for tub: Select the side of the wall for the tub.   Select point near end of tub for plumbing: Select the plumbing end of the tub. This is the end of the tub that will have the faucet, drain, and shower head (if any).     --the tub, rod/enclosure (if any) is drawn and the notation is inserted-- [End - center option]
