The TXTEDT command edits the following types of entities:
This command actually started as just an "any kind of text" editor,
but when we wanted to add commands to edit the other "non text" types of objects
we figured it would just be simpler to add the editing capability to this
existing command. Less commands for you to learn and as long as it didn't slow you down for text editing, why not? So while it is
still "officially" known as our "text edit" command, we have come to know it as
our "thing edit" command and expect to add the ability to edit more object types
in the future.
This command allows the editing of
properties for each of the object types listed above. This command adjusts
depending on which object types you select to edit. With all of the object types (except Mtext) you may also edit several objects at once (assuming that they are all the
same object type) and modify any or all of the properties in all of the
objects at once.
In AutoCAD release 2006
and later you may also set up the ability to double-click on the above objects
to edit them. Click to see how to set this up.
