WINDOW SCHEDULE

Command to extract information from window symbols and create/update a window schedule.

The schedule is complete with a legend that defines abbreviations used in the schedule. To define these abbreviations use the Schedule Abbreviation Manager (SAM command).

This command was primarily designed to create a schedule that uses consecutively numbered windows, but it can also be used if you want to use the schedule with "type" numbering. For example if all the same type windows in your drawing all have the letter "F" in their window symbol the schedule will only list "F" once and it will search through all of the symbols with the "F" designation and find the one with the most information so you only have to enter the information for window type "F" in one of the window symbols.

Time saving tip:

  • Before inserting a lot of window symbols in your drawing take the time to adjust your default values for the window symbols. This can save a lot of time by not having to edit some of the symbol values later. The default values for window symbols are set in the Window Schedule Titles and Prompts section of the APS-CONFIG command. If you forget to do this, you can always still use the TXTEDT command and edit multiple symbols at once.
