Setting Up TXTEDT for Double-Click

  1. For this to work you must have AutoCAD 2006 or later and the APS system loaded with the TXTEDT command working normally.

  2. In AutoCAD type "CUI" to open the "Customize User Interface" dialog.

  3. Click on the "+" next to "Double Click Actions"

  4. Find and highlight the "Attribute Block" entry.

  5. Below in the "Command List" find the "Double Click Text Edit (any text +)" entry

  6. Drag the "Double Click Text Edit (any text +)" up and place it in the "Attribute Block" spot above

  7. The command will replace the command currently being used for Attribute Blocks and will now allow the TXTEDT command to be used by just double clicking on objects. See TXTEDT for object types that are editable and further information.
